About the Author
Rabbeinu Yonah ben Avraham Gerondi (c. 1200–1263) was one of the great Rishonim of Spain, a relative and contemporary of the Ramban, renowned as both a Talmudic scholar and a baal mussar. His ethical works, above all Shaarei Teshuvah, have shaped Jewish thought on character and repentance for centuries and remain among the most widely studied mussar seforim to this day.
