Rav Schachter on Yoreh Deah, Volume 2, continues the halachic insights and commentary of Rav Hershel Schachter, Rosh Yeshiva and Rosh Kollel at Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchak Elchanan (RIETS), Yeshiva University. Adapted into clear, readable English by his talmid Dr. Allan Weissman, the sefer brings Rav Schachter's renowned shiurim on the laws of Yoreh Deah to a wide audience, drawing out the depth and precision of his approach to issur v'heter and the broader halachic tradition he received from his rebbeim.

Each topic is presented with careful attention to sources, making this volume a valuable resource for talmidim, rabbonim, and serious learners alike. Like the other seforim in the series, it was reviewed by Rav Schachter himself for accuracy. A worthy addition to any Torah library.

About the Author

Rav Hershel Schachter is one of the most respected poskim and Talmudic scholars of our generation. He joined the faculty of RIETS in 1967 at the age of 26 — the youngest Rosh Yeshiva at the yeshiva — and has served as Rosh Kollel of the Marcos and Adina Katz Kollel since 1971. A close talmid and assistant to Rav Yosef Dov Soloveitchik zt"l, he serves as a halachic advisor to the Orthodox Union and is the author of numerous works, including Eretz HaTzvi, B'Ikvei HaTzon, Ginas Egoz, and Nefesh HaRav. This volume was adapted by Dr. Allan Weissman, a longtime talmid who has produced several acclaimed seforim based on Rav Schachter's shiurim.
